Laurie Anderson and Anderson Cooper
Laurie Anderson is a treasure and I was lucky enough to see her in person in the pre Covid world. It was a brilliant performance that started with an ode to Yoko Ono and the whole crowd screaming at the top of our lungs for 30 seconds. For this up tight Vancouver crowd sitting in the lush darkness of a fancy theatre it was truly cathartic to scream into the void! Highly recommend this for hard times.
A friend recently forwarded this conversation with Laurie Anderson and Anderson Cooper discussing their experiences of losing loved ones and moving through grief. Listening the her is totally mesmerizing! You can read more about this series of podcasts in the New York Times, and we can't recommend them enough (not only the Laurie Anderson one but also the Elizabeth Alexander and Steven Colbert episodes.
